1. Choose a costume from my rental list a minimum of 3 weeks prior to your event (again, selected costumes for purchase can be available for rent). Select at least 2 alternative choices. E-mail or call with your choices and we will set up an appointment for you to stop by. Must be 18 years or older to rent.
2. Come by & check out your costume. See it, love it, try it on! At this time, I'll check for any alterations and formally reserve your costume. Any portion of your rental cost may be paid to reserve your costume (minimum $20.00 deposit). Reservations can not be taken by e-mail or over the phone. Rental deposits will be applied to total rental cost at time of pick up or will be forfeited if reservation is canceled.
3. Pick up your costume. Rentals are to be picked up the day before the event unless otherwise prearranged. Balance of the rental fee is due at time of pick-up. No exceptions. Payments can be made by check (personal, cashier or corporate), money order and of course, cash. All checks must be imprinted, no temporary checks. Checks must match California Drivers License. There will be a $25.00 fee for returned checks.
Security deposits. You will be expected to leave a security deposit for each rental. A security deposit may total as much as the costume costs to replace if anything happens to the costume. Security deposit can be in the form of a credit card number (if using a friend's, spouse's or parent's, an accompanying signature will be expected), blank check, or cash equaling the replacement cost of the costume rented, all to be refunded on the safe return of a well cared for costume.
4. Costumes are to be returned within three working days of the event unless otherwise prearranged. Late fees totaling 1/2 the rental fee will be charged each day the costumes are not returned. If you are going to be delayed, please call and reschedule, late fees may be waived if your second commitment is upheld.
Anyone who does not return the rented merchandise can and will be charged with theft and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. All reasonable attorney fees and court costs incurred in the enforcement of the terms of the rental agreement are the responsibility of the renter signing the rental agreement. I will not waiver on this matter nor will I be taken advantage of.
If costumes are returned damaged in any way, carelessly stained, torn, rendered unusable or missing pieces, you may be charged up to the full cost of replacing the entire costume or any part thereof. Full cost of replacing a costume may be as much as four times the rental fee. Remember, depending on the costume, some outfits may impair your vision, mobility and be hazardous around heat or an open flame. You must take responsibility for your own personal safety and the well being of others around you.
